The purpose of this position is to assist in planning, coordinating and supervising construction and/or maintenance work in assigned City department; to assist with or perform the work of subordinates as necessary, and to perform related duties as required.
Graduation from high school, vocational school, or GED with eight (8) years work experience to include some supervisory responsibilities, in the installation, construction, maintenance and/or repair work of various types of public works projects. Must have considerable skill and knowledge of floor care and clear standard of sanitary environment in recreation; ability to train and develop others; operates various cleaning and maintenance equipment.
Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class "D" Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record. Preference may be given to applicants who possess and maintain a valid SC Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. May be required to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, etc., on a rotational basis as needed in order to accomplish assigned work.
