Accountemps is searching through applicants for a skilled Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that thrives in a fast-paced environment and looking for a long-term temporary position at a well-established company in the Retail industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This is a fantastic role and you will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Calabasas, California area and will be a long-term temporary position. Your responsibilities - Provide support to internal business partners - Help with internal and external audits as required - Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents - Complete special projects on an as-needed basis - Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed - Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling - Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department - Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis - Perform full-cycle A/P

Requirements

- Microsoft Excel experience - Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) - Command of expense reports - SAP experience - Detailed and have the ability work independently - Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
