Accountemps is actively looking for for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. To be successful in this role and take advantage of the growth potential, you should multitask effectively, manage your time well, and have strong communication and organizational skills. In this position, you will prepare financial statements; establish and maintain the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the organization; and handle all other general accounting and bookkeeping functions. Based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a long-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity. Your responsibilities - Maintaining historical records by filing documents - Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules - Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing - Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections - Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions - Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers - Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements - Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close


- Proficiency with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree - High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended - Comprehensive knowledge of taxes - Proficiency in tax returns - Account reconciliation experience - Expertise in individual taxes - Adeptness in Accounts Payable (AP) - Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) - 3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field - Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical - Strong time management and organizational skills - Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports - Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting - Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures - Payroll experience preferred - Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
