Job Title: Prep Cook Job Purpose: The Prep Cook prepare a variety of food items including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads etc., using a variety of equipment and utensils.
Job Duties • Complete opening and closing checklists • Refer to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment • Comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment
Skills/Qualifications • Previous kitchen experience preferred • Outgoing, pleasant personality, and desire to please guests • Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills • Flexible schedule, ability to work days and/or nights, weekends and some holidays • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours • Must have reliable transportation Disclaimer Mazzone Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
