The Field Representative requires a highly motivated, self- starter to aid our uncompensated population in securing Financial Assistance. The Field Representative will be knowledgeable of regulatory terms regarding Charity Care, New Jersey Medicaid, and Financial Assistance. The Field Representative will also work closely with hospital departments such as Case Management and the Business office when needed to obtain forms, signatures, and documents related to their specific needs in order to adjudicate claims on the patient's behalf. The Field Representative will possess excellent interpersonal skills and formulate relationships of trust with customers. The Field Representative will be responsible for securing the cooperation of patients and discern customer needs and offer advice or recommendations as it pertains to securing Financial Assistance. The Field Representative will contact patients primarily by field visits to their home, and must also attempt contact by phone and letter when required. Documentation of all telephone and field contacts and attempted contacts must be fully documented. The Field Representative must interview the patient/responsible party, to ensure the application and supplemental forms are completed and signed. Ensure all required documentation is obtained and copied. The Field Representative will conduct investigative work, such as skip tracing, to locate patients when needed. The Field Representative is expected to report to the office on a daily basis to finalize applications, update system notes, and obtain new assignments. The Field Representative must pass annual recertification with score of 95% or better. The Field Representative can perform job duties based on department procedure and protocol; with no direct oversight. Attends all required trainings and in-services and passes all competency tests associated with the in-services. This position maintains high accuracy rate of A and established productivity rates for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as Charity Care application completion rate, cash collections, wait and TAT times, and productivity. The Field Representative will attend two or more self-scheduled voluntary or facilitated education sessions with ARMC or an approved outside learning opportunity in order to enhance growth and development. The Field Representative must achieve and maintain the rating of Valued Contributor or above on their annual evaluation with no written disciplinary documents on file. Incumbents are expected to dress in business casual attire according to AtlantiCare's Dress Code Policy. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation. The Field Representative may be responsible for additional duties as assigned with respect to the Financial Assistance job scope. QUALIFICATIONS

The expectation is this position will be in the field most of the time and during periods of inclement weather. Under no circumstances should the Field Representative put themselves in a position where they feel they may not be safe. The Field Representative must possess good judgment and use extreme caution when going into areas that do not appear safe.
