Position Summary: Account Receivable Specialist, Service At AVDG, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive the business forward. Our accounting team members keep that system running smoothly and this role by managing cash influx and collecting payment from clients. We are searching for an exceptional Accounts Receivable Specialist in Service to provide financial, clerical, and administrative services for the Service department to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate payment of accounts so management can make effective business decisions. The ideal candidate highly detail-oriented, accurate, excellent customer service skills, articulate, strong follow-up, multi-task oriented, analytical, and handles day-to-day transactions in a timely manner, and is seen as a valued partner to the business. Objectives of this Role * Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts * Communicate discrepancies to the team, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection solutions * Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts * Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process identifying areas of performance improvement * Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: * Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation for preparation and delivery of customer invoices for payment * Maintain account receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, reconciliation of account discrepancies, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines * Communicate with clients and customers to request and arrange payments and monitor the follow up of accounts receivable collection efforts * Prepare analytical and ratio analysis in relation to A/R for management to gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing and review AR aging to ensure compliance * Perform cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating, and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the account receivable sub-ledger * Investigate and resolve customer queries * Additional duties as assigned To join our band, you'll need the following experience: * Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Accounting, or related field highly preferred, or some college experience with prior experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable * Excellent attention to detail, analytical, organized, and collaborative * Understanding of basic accounting principles, finance, and bookkeeping * Understanding of construction transactions, a plus * Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook * Superb time management and customer-focused mandatory About AVDG Founded in 1996, Audio Visual Design Group (AVDG) is a leading design-build firm specializing in next-generation AV design & integration, revolutionizing smart homes, smart enterprises, smart venues for clients across the globe.
