R&D Technician

Position Summary: Assembly of R&D raw material orders. Perform R&D/Pilot warehouse inventory review. Clean and set-up equipment for small-scale pilot personal care manufacturing. Perform laboratory duties.

Job Description:

This position will be primarily focused in executing R&D lab operations in regards to raw material preparation, pilot equipment preparation, and lab duties. All work must be executed according to GMP/GLP and in an accurate, safe, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raw material weighing and kitting

  • Checking for accuracy of all orders and expiration dates

  • Maintaining pilot raw material inventory accuracy

  • Preparation, cleaning and sanitizing equipment

  • Perform tank and pump inspections

  • Lab bench work to assist chemists and engineers

  • Analytical testing

  • Maintaining storage and disposal of pilot bulk inventory

  • Sampling

  • Generates & records data accurately

  • Proficient in utilizing systems to deliver work

  • Lab housekeeping

  • Performs own work & executes with excellence

  • Pro-actively updates supervisor on status & flags issues / help required

  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma

Additional Job Specifications:

Detail oriented, good verbal and written communication skills, effective time management skills, basic math skills. Knowledge of cGMP, cGLP, cGDP necessary.

Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs, ability to stand for up to 8 hours daily.

Must be able to use all protective and safety equipment. Knowledge of cGMP, cGLP, cGDP preferred.

Basic computer ability with MS Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel.
