Responsible to support planning for and execution of vehicle reset, rebuild and overhaul programs and/or vehicle de-deprocessing, field testing, field modification programs or any other program needs. Plans and coordinates across internal functional elements and with field personnel, government commodity commands, government program management office, and suppliers involved with providing repair and spare parts, kits and repaired assemblies to customers. Tracks and coordinates on-time delivery of spare parts orders, modification kits and repair/return of failed assemblies from the field as required. Position requires understanding the total supply and demand relationships among vehicle production, field sites, depot activities, modification orders, spare parts and repair requirements so assets can be properly allocated to meet program and contractual requirements. Coordinates with customer to resolve requisition and delivery issues. Manages the requisition backlog, and prioritizes based on needs of fielding schedules, field vehicle modification schedules, reset, rebuild and overhaul activities. Relies on experience and judgement to organize, plan and accomplish customer objectives.
Develops plans and strategies to support efforts for related field, test and or depot activities.
Interfaces and coordinates supply activities with external organizations, commands, military departments, and customers; coordinates supply activities within BAE Systems to insure their timely support to accomplish program requirements.
Develops and presents both internal and external briefings concerning status of required deliveries and repair actions.
Manages customer and contractual parts/supply support requirements and executes recommendations or plans to meet those requirements.
Calculates requirements for and provides guidance on the establishment of repair parts stock and consumable shop supplies.
Provides advice to program management on supply matters that influence field, test and depot activities.
Represents the company at critical meetings and reviews with US Government and Customers.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
BS Degree and 4 years of work experience or equivalent years of experience in material planning and coordination. Preferred experience with relevant applications in a defense environment or large manufacturing.
Oracle ASCP - or any MRP in Advance supply chain procurement processes.
Strong personal computer knowledge with strong aptitude in spreadsheet and database development including Excel and Word must have attention to detail.
Good interpersonal relation skills due to the quantity and variety of customers (internal and external at various levels), and priority of efforts.
