Bring your excellent patient care experience to Banner Lassen Medical Center as a per diem Health Unit Coordinator/Monitor Tech in our Emergency Department. The Emergency Department at Banner Lassen is a unique Emergency Department position serving the patient population of Susanville as well as the surrounding communities.
The ED team is an 8-bed unit with at level IV trauma certification. It is the base station for air ambulance transporting patients to other local facilities as needed. The physicans and providers are core staff and truly enhance the team.

This position is responsible for a variety of administrative support functions and customer service for an assigned patient care area which promote an organized, efficient delivery of care to patients. The position facilitates communication between physicians, nurses and physicians, calls in Consults and acts as a liaison with all other internal departments and external contacts. This position is also responsible for continuous observation of patients monitors, leads and/or activity and behaviors, and for reporting pertinent changes and abnormalities to the appropriate clinical staff. This position is also responsible for maintaining logs of activity and changes or behaviors in accordance with facility standards.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification may be required in certain departments.
Depending on department assignment, completion of unit approved basic electrocardiogram -OR- electroencephalographic interpretation course or on the job training and - a minimum passing score of 85% on ECG -OR- EEG test, with accurate identification of all lethal cardiac dysrhythmias - OR - epileptiform activity. Must possess a working knowledge of medical terminology. Requires effective interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Certified Nursing Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician is preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
