The Nursing Administration Department handles all staffing coordinators and the Clinical Operations Coordinators (COC). The Nursing Administration also coordinates budgeting for the nursing departments located throughout the hospital. The department also handles visitors, expirations and walk-ins.
The Vice President, Associate Chief Nurse is responsible for nursing leadership and the operational oversight of nursing services provided across BJH including planning, organizing, and directing nursing across the organization. The VP ACNO works under the leadership of the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) and in collaboration with leadership teams to implement patient care delivery models, evidence based clinical and professional standards and policies, as well as innovative staffing strategies. The VP/ACNO collaborates with hospital leaders to ensure nursing fully contributes to advancing hospital goals as well as enhancing care transitions and patient throughput. Supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary/interdepartmental approach to the delivery of patient care. Under the direction of the CNE, the role will be assigned local and/or system level patient care/process improvement activities in accordance with the strategic plan and defined BJC policies and objectives.
