The Digital team at Bed Bath & Beyond is looking for a visionary Sr. Product Manager for our Registry team. This role plays a significant part in defining the customer strategy, retention models, and growth for BBBY Omni Business.
This role will set the vision for Registry and serve as the leader of that squad. This leader will combine a data-driven mindset, with an operational bias, with a deep understanding of our customers to create an omni-channel and omni-platform experience that seamlessly empowers our customers to engage with us however and whenever s/he wants.
This leader will play a key role in a digital transformation for the brand and will have direct ownership of discovery, inspiration, evaluation and transaction experiences across platforms. S/he will manage a roadmap, go-to-market calendar and prioritization processes and will partner closely with Engineering , UX, other cross functional teams to deliver best-in-class experiences and support rapid business growth.
This role requires a customer-centric mindset, solid business acumen, and a passion for driving cross-functional execution to ensure overall product performance against key metrics. This individual will lead the squad with inspirational ideas driven by customer needs and will translate these into executable product roadmaps and will then execute them on time. S/he will have outstanding and proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and empower a vibrant and competitive team culture.
The role can be worked in a remote capacity or on a hybrid model out of our New Jersey headquarters and will report into the Director of Product Management.
As a Product Manager for Bed Bath and Beyond, you will:
Lead and inspire our agile squads and pods in envisioning and building world-class products that will benefit and delight customers.
Be an advocate for customers and drive innovation on their behalf.
Plan and prioritize the product features and requirements from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue, experience, engagement, conversion and meet operational, financial, and corporate objectives.
Understand the thorough value proposition for proposed products and initiatives, including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis, industry best practices and product development timelines.
Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to form roadmaps in support of the strategic plans and customer needs and identify new opportunities for existing and new products.
Lead and collaborate with Engineering, UX and Data groups on key architectural decisions and design considerations.
Drive successful execution through robust management and a lean process.
Track and manage key metrics like costs, team performance and business KPIs.
Collaborate with leadership to influence and mitigate organizational bottlenecks.
Ensure appropriate process to deliver industry benchmark in reliability and performance.
Ensure product development best practices are utilized and continuously evolved.
As a key product stakeholder, be willing to do what is required to help the team, and to deliver to plan.
Proven track record of being able to manage parallel executions and to deliver on plan.
Ability to see multiple solutions to problems and choose the right one for the situation.
Ability to attract and retain squad/pod talent.
Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Present the vision, roadmap, key decisions and report on results to stakeholders across the organization, contextualizing reporting to key strategic and business priorities.
2 - 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) in within the eCommerce space is a plus.
Payments experience related to eCommerce, banking or stores.
Excellent communication skills with client-facing or sales operations experience.
Strong persuasion skills with the ability to influence and drive consensus across multiple partners.
Analytical ability with high attention to detail and critical thinking.
Financial modeling skills and business acumen.
Demonstrated creative problem solving with ability to collaborate and build consensus cross-functionally.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic thinking and thought leadership.
Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example.
