The Advertising Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of sales reps in driving local, controllable print and digitalrevenue. This position is responsible for identifiying client business challenges and developing solutions that drive strategic results. Develops sales strategies to achieve the short and long term sales revenue objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Educates and informs clients and agencies on ways that current and future products can enhance their online presence.
Supervising, coaching and mentoring sales team to meet monthly sales objectives.
Communicates, and builds digital partnerships with new revenue opportunities; works closely with advertisers/clients; and maintains knowledge of media advertising trends and industry developments.
Assists with presenting and closing overall marketing strategy.
Ability to understand the media industry, tools and local competitive media.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sales experience as well as technical experience including trends, external conditions and research preferred. Knowledge of the newspaper business, geographical area & demographics is helpful. Continuous on-the-job training is required for this position.
