Description

The Collaborative Science and Innovation (CSI) Department provides wrap around research support for health care professionals to enhance a spirit of inquiry at Billings Clinic. The CSI team also leads scientific investigations in their own interest areas and in priority focus areas for the organization. # The scientist/data analyst is responsible for providing scientific oversight, direction, and contribution for research studies conducted at Billings Clinic. The incumbent serves as the primary data management, analysis and technology resource for all research related activities. Responsibilities include planning, design, development and management of multiple research initiatives and databases; facilitation of integration of data, information, knowledge and/or systems to support quality, process improvement, and all other components associated with federal, state or privately funded health services research.# The incumbent is accountable for accessing, extracting, synthesizing and verifying clinical and financial data, develops and provides a variety of reports to support identification and evaluation of analytic findings and results. Provides statistical expertise and acts as a resource to other departments and external collaborators.# # MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PhD required National Institute of Health (NIH) Human Participant Certification Demonstration of database management experience (SPSS, SAS, Microsoft Access, R).# Ability to work within variety of databases, combining information from a variety of databases and make recommendations based on the statistical data.# Experience with research, clinical and/or financial data manipulation. Experience in grant writing and literary reviews desirable Experience in clinical outcomes research #Or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered as it relates to the above tasks, knowledge, skills, and abilities
