Acquisition Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Specialist
Provide technical support to DoD representatives on acquisition Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) policy analysis. Support the ESOH review and oversight of DoD acquisition systems programs. Analyze data, conduct ESOH risk assessments, and develop reports and briefings for clients.
-6+ years of experience with ESOH, including with DoD systems acquisition projects or programs
-6+ years of experience with logistics, systems engineering, or acquisition program management
-Experience with DoD systems acquisition process and ESOH regulations and legislation
-Experience with MIL-STD-882E and the system safety methodology
-Experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
-Knowledge of ESOH regulations and policy
-Ability to analyze, research, assess, and organize technical data into cohesive and clear technical reports, white or point papers, and presentations
-Ability to organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings and working groups, including preparing agendas, briefing materials, point papers, and meeting minutes
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
-Experience in an increasing technical leadership role
-Knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), including engineering, life cycle logistics, and program management
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment
-Ability to work independently in acquisition ESOH, a plus
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MS degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Planning and Policy, or Environmental Management
-Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Navy Principal for Safety (PFS), or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certifications
-National Registry of Environmental Professionals certifications, including Environmental Manager or Environmental Professional Certification
