Circuit Design Technology Consultant

The Challenge:

What if you could use your engineering skills to transform DoD microelectronics research? As a circuit design technology analyst, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to supporting DoD's project by executing research and development in microelectronics. We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to help a DoD project to investigate and evaluate new research ideas, assess technical performance, and communicate potential benefits.

Serve as a strategic technical consultant for high risk government-funded research and development programs in advanced microelectronics in areas, including integrated circuit design and verification and hardware security. Work with world-class scientists and engineers for a DoD client to impact national security investments through the development of cutting-edge technologies. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior DoD decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and assessing the current program results. You Have:

-3+ years of experience with circuit design and physical design flow for advanced integrated circuits

-Experience with Industry Standard Physical Design tools

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree and 4+ years of experience with Physics, EE, CS, or Computer Engineering or PhD degree in Physics, EE, CS, or Computer Engineering

Nice If You Have:

-3+ years of experience with industry standard circuit design, layout, and verification tools

-2+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences

-Experience with DoD research and development projects

-Experience with custom integrated circuit layout for digital ICs, analog ICs, or mixed-signal SoCs and the design flow

-Experience with FPGA design and prototyping

-Experience with chip-level integration and application-specific IC design

-Experience with technical project or program management

-Possession of excellent client service skills

-Active Secret clearance
