Commercial Business Development Executive, Senior

Key Role:

Serve as a key member of the Strategic Engagement Team to drive Booz Allen's overall market and service enablement strategy for target markets. Work with client executives and other senior leaders on internal and external IT strategies. Work with members of Booz Allen's Commercial, National Security, and DoD sales teams to comprehend capabilities, engage customers and prospects, and influence future requirements. Define and execute on a strategic market development plan that identifies cross-organizational opportunities in partnership with key internal stakeholders, including sales teams, service teams, marketing, partner team, legal, and support. Define high-level opportunities across the commercial customer space, identify and engage key customers, prospects, and influencers, and identify and engage key alliances and organizations. Support business development pipeline growth by engaging with key clients, prospects, and alliances. Comprehend the market trends and requirements of our customers and prospects and work with internal development teams to help guide the direction of our future product and service offerings for the commercial industry.

Basic Qualifications:

​-15+ years of experience with commercial and federal domains, including direct customer and executive level interface, and customer systems, applications, and technologies

-Experience with software development practices, data center, infrastructure, networking database systems, core distributed computing concepts, fundamentals of Cloud computing and virtualization, storage systems, advanced analytics, and emerging paradigms, including IoT/IIoT, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning

-Experience with selling Cybersecurity services

-Ability to discuss relevant technologies key to the industry

-Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as needed

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in business development or consulting and working with Commercial, National Security, and Defense industry customers at the leadership level

-Experience with C-suite and executive relationships and large and accessible commercial networks

-Knowledge of legacy and emerging technologies

-Knowledge of the system architectures that support Cybersecurity, data management, data science and analytics, and enterprise measurement and reporting

-Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and lead through influence

-Ability to demonstrate balanced strategy and planning

-Ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus

-Ability to meet and exceed this role's Booz Allen leadership principles and requirements
-Possession of excellent leadership, analytical, data-driven, and execution skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
