Perform a broad and complex range of epidemiologic activities for the surveillance, detection, and prevention of illness, disease, and injury among DoD beneficiaries. Apply principles of evidence-based public health, disease surveillance, and medical terminology to large data sets. Translate data analysis results into actionable information and develop comprehensive, population-based approaches to healthcare delivery and health improvement. Develop and design methods of collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data and apply knowledge of program processes and methods for the prevention, intervention, and control of diseases of public health importance.
-1+ years of experience with conducting health analysis, including study design, data analysis, and results interpretation
-1+ years of experience with using statistical analysis software (SAS)
-1+ years of experience with applied epidemiology
-Knowledge of database management and statistical software applications, including SAS
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-MS degree in Epidemiology or MPH degree and completion of 30 hours of Epidemiology courses
-Experience with SAS at a higher level, including SAS macro language, SAS and STAT, and SAS and GRAPH
-Experience with DATA Step and SQL processing, CDISC standards, or data management for large datasets, including ETL
