Air Traffic Control Test Equipment Technician, Mid

Key Role:

Perform a variety of complex electronic or mechanical functions. Support developmental engineering activities, including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems. Operate assigned tools and equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with work center-level test equipment support and calibration coordination as part of the military or DoD

-3 years of experience with aviation command and control projects, including 3 of the following 4 areas: systems requirements, operational requirements, test and evaluation, or training, including industry and public service leadership in the aviation command and control technical field

-Experience with one of the following ATC specialty areas: NAVAIDS and ATC equipment, airfield operations, ATC communications, or ATC radar

-Ability to scan documentation and extract data based on specific criteria for use in electronic data systems

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Technical Training in ATC, Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC), US Antarctic Program (USAP), Naval Flight Information Group (NAVFIG) Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS) Program, or the US Air Forces Central (USAFCENT) programs, systems, and equipment
