Commercial Cyber Threat Intelligence Manager

Key Role:

Work as an experienced and passionate leader who will help oversee the vision, intellectual capital, and consultants dedicated to providing Cyber Threat Intelligence services to commercial clients, including helping clients build, augment, or optimize their ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate information related to Cyber-attacks and threats and continually improve their approach to the intelligence life cycle. Apply expertise in building Cyber threat intelligence teams, including knowing what types of information to collect, analyzing the information and synthesizing it into actionable intelligence, and supporting teams that detect and respond to Cyber-attacks. Stay connected to intelligence communities, vendors, and news outlets to comprehend the evolving Cyber threat landscape. Establish and grow the Cyber threat intelligence team by providing thought leadership, gathering relevant intellectual capital, and mapping out a vision that will continue to mature the capability into the future. Oversee a team that leverages well-honed expertise in online researching to identify and navigate relevant online forums, including Web sites, social media, and traditional sources to support research and analysis. Develop close working partnerships with a client's senior leaders to ensure Cyber intelligence analysis and products are mapped to prioritized corporate assets and risks and respond to high-priority requests for Cyber information and intelligence from clients. Develop industry contacts and relationships with other companies to enhance Cyber intelligence sharing and best practices, provide quality control over team products, and assist with drafting, editing, critiquing, and proofreading Cyber intelligence estimates, briefs, assessments, and memorandums. This position is being hired for nationally, ideally in San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Denver, Houston, Dallas, NYC, or the DC Metro area and requires up to 80% travel to client sites.


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in an IT or Cybersecurity role and environment

-5+ years of experience with analyzing technical Cyber intelligence, including Cyber threat actor tools, methods, and motivations

-5+ years of experience with leading small teams

-Knowledge of network defense and intelligence frameworks, including Mitre's Att&ck Framework and the Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis

-Ability to develop specific expertise in discerning patterns of complex threat actor behavior and communicating comprehension of current and developing Cyber threats

-Ability to deal with ambiguity comfortably

-Ability to perform as a self-starter capable of working with a variety of client personalities, politics, and business challenges

-Ability to travel up to 80% of the time

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with intelligence analysis from any field, including all source

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including comprehending and presenting complex, high-quality intelligence assessments to both technical and non-technical audiences, such as senior leaders

-BA or BS degree in Cybersecurity, CS or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or a related field a plus
