DevOps Field Service Engineer
The Challenge:
Ready to support mission critical operations that harness the power of cloud in Space? Make a difference for national security by supporting our client in developing and deploying software development and hosting environment. Booz Allen has an immediate need for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) with software (SW) and hardware (HW) development, integration, operations and maintenance experience for space and ground systems. We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual to be the firm's on-site representative to plan and execute testing, training, maintenance, and operate the ground hardware and support operators. You'll work with the operations team to assess, test, and onboard code developed in legacy or external environments onto the AppFactory and ensure that it meets the requirements for integration and deployment in the ecosystem.
You know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks. On our team of cloud experts, you'll use your configuration management and provision know-how to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. You'll collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps engineers specializing to manage and configure both cloud environments and onsite hardware. You'll have the chance to demonstrate your expertise within a DevOps framework to establish networks and use cloud service providers like AWS to further Space Operations.
With access to our internal innovative labs, you'll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients' challenges, and you'll work with your team and stakeholders to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether developing, deploying, or managing IT infrastructures for crucial server and network components, here, you'll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:
3+ years of experience having primary accountability for non-trivial production deployments in AWS
Experience using CI/CD pipelines with repository and automated testing toolsets, including GitLab, Twistlock, Fortify, or SonarQube
Experience with managing containerized environments and working in Linux-based environments
Experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation in Cloud environment
Experience with working on an agile team
Experience with using version control tools
Experience with task automation using Bash, Python, Batch, or PowerShell
Ability to proactively monitor and address performance gaps and vulnerabilities
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Experience working with Space Force, Air Force, or DoD customers in an acquisition environment with space or ground systems
Experience with Helm Charts
Experience with managing environments with 100+ servers
Experience with deploying software on container platforms
Experience with the implementation of performance monitoring and optimization for infrastructure and applications
Experience with configuration management using Ansible
Ability to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams, self-start, seek solutions, and work well in a team environment
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or Math
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.EEO Commitment
