Information Systems Security Officer, Junior
Serve as a Junior-Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for appointed systems. Work with system owners and create and maintain Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation, including system security plan, privacy plan, security control assessment, privacy control assessment, and any relevant plans of action and milestones to support Authorization to Operate (ATO) decisions. Capture and refine information security requirements for new systems or for enhanced functionality on existing system and ensure that the requirements are effectively integrated into information systems throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Implement information security standards and procedures. Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
-2+ years of experience with information assurance or cybersecurity
-Experience with supporting system security and authorization processes
-Experience with NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, or Intelligence Community Directive 503 requirements
-Ability to report IT security events or incidents based on policies and procedures
-Top Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
-Experience with providing network or system administration or computer operations
-Experience with ACAS and vulnerability databases, including Tenable Nessus, NVD, and NIAP
-Experience with supporting the intelligence community (IC)
-Knowledge of cloud architecture and virtualization
-Possession of excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required
The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 55,000 to 75,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
