Military Defense Analyst, Lead

Key Role:

Provide subject matter expertise to support the development of a Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) Execute Order (EXORD) for data management and data interoperability across the Army and Department of Defense enterprise. Bring in-depth understanding and expertise of Army and Joint operations, processes, and culture to facilitate the staffing and promulgation of the EXORD. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts in the development of new approaches to addressing Army transformation in a multi-domain operational environment. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude based on mission guidance and intent and lead or mentor employees in both firm and technical competencies. This role requires on-site support in Arlington and Ft Belvoir to support planning, facilitate working groups, and brief senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in a National Security work environment

  • 10+ years of experience with military operations, organizations, culture, and processes

  • 5+ years of experience with HQDA staffing processes and procedures

  • 5+ years of experience with Army Staff or Army Secretariat

  • Experience with developing Army strategic plans, policies, and execute orders (EXORDs)

  • Experience with authoring Department of the Army memorandums and presenting GO/SES-level briefings

  • Experience with coordinating and developing consensus across Government Agencies (Interagency)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Secret Clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in Army Signal Core Field Grade or GS-13 or GS-14 assignments

  • Top Secret Clearance

  • MA or MS Degree in Public Policy or Public Management

  • Command and General Staff College (CGSC) Graduate

  • Project or Program Management Professional Certification
