Patient Safety SME
Review all patient safety tickets during Go-Live and sustainment phases of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation. Identify gaps between patient safety tickets and incident tickets placed in SNOW and Cerner Remedy queue. Prepare reports identifying the capture and reporting of patient safety events and issues, including adverse events, unsafe conditions, close calls, incident evaluations, recalls, and alerts. Triage and manage site level patient safety events, ensuring prompt mitigation of safety concerns. Review Performance Work Statement and determine Patient Safety Task Order requirements and deliverables.
-4+ years of experience as a clinician
-Ability to assess information and knowledge-based needs of healthcare professionals and patients
-Ability to develop, implement, and refine clinical decision support systems and lead or participate in the procurement, customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems, including EHRs and an order-entry system
-BSN degree and an additional 12 years of experience in a clinical environment or MA or MS degree in Healthcare or related scientific, technical, or clinical fields
-Experience with VA or DoD
