Security Architect, Lead

Key Role:

Join a team responsible for the architecture of Booz Allen Hamilton's global information and cybersecurity posture worldwide. Work with the cross functional teams to develop Booz Allen Hamilton's globally converged technological security strategy, which will in turn drive the future security roadmap for Booz Allen Hamilton's enterprise cyber security stack, product security protection programs, and go-to-market platform protection models. Implement the strategic direction you helped define by the Director of Cyber Architecture and Engineering. Provide evaluations, analyses, troubleshooting, and guidance related to system, network, application, and security architectures. Develop security guidance, best practices, and general corporate security standards and reference architectures. Perform security reviews based on the security stack philosophies and standards. Perform Threat Modeling, analyzing security events and incidents to improve technical maturity and rigor. Assume responsibility for leading these efforts in collaboration with the rest of the team for Booz Allen Hamilton worldwide across a broad set of security disciplines providing an integrated security ecosystem to deter, detect, defend, and respond to business impacting security, operational security and risk issues. Leverage skills in independently conducting technical analysis of security and business problems, as well as threats, incidents, investigations, workforce protection and other general security related issues. Communicate and participate in coordinating response and defensive actions over a variety of security disciplines and disseminate technical information as appropriate in support of Booz Allen Hamilton's critical business, go to market, and operational infrastructure needs. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with network or identity security design, strategies, and security architectures

  • Experience in networking or identity disciplines featuring cyber based solution engineering or architectural oversight

  • Knowledge of Advanced Persistent Threat

  • Knowledge of security services and solutions

  • Ability to design, deploy, and maintain security architectures in enterprise class organizations

  • Ability to perform computer security incident handling

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience working in the cyber industry in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with building complex, multi-service IT architectures

  • Experience with a programming or scripting language, including C++, Perl, Java, or Python

  • Knowledge of the use of databases for reporting, including SQL language

  • Knowledge of the applications of Artificial Intelligence in security

  • IT Architecture Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $98,700 to $225,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
