Test Engineer, Mid

The Challenge:

As a test engineer on our team, you'll work with testers, developers, and SMEs to evaluate software developed for various clients from the DoD. You'll lead the test team, set goals for the team and report status updates. Using a combination of automated and manual processes, you'll generate data and execute the test cases to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll conduct working meetings to assess software enhancements as well as regression test existing functionality to ensure high quality. You'll also further your experience in the agile life cycle of a project/product and explore new areas like automation and mobile testing. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer or tester in a professional work environment
  • 4+ years of experience with the creation of test cases, test suites, requirements matrices, and end-of-test reports
  • 1+ year of experience as a test lead providing status updates, tasking staff with activities and managing goals and expectations for the test team as a whole
  • Experience with contributing to the delivery of testing artifacts, including automated testing plans, performance test plans, test reports, UAT plans, and traceability matrices
  • Experience with analyzing and documenting software test results
  • Experience with designing, implementing, tailoring, and documenting automated test frameworks used on testing projects
  • Ability to apply appropriate test methodologies, including writing test plans and test cases
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $71,900 to $133,500. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
