Reporting to the National Sales Manager On-trade, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will lead and develop a team of Sales Executives within Independent Free Trade, in line with Brown-Forman vision and values to deliver the regional strategy. More specifically the RSM will co-develop and execute the channel agenda and deliver the regional portfolio objectives including distribution, volume, brand education, visibility and promotions for the B-F portfolio within the geographical area of responsibility.
This role is both exciting and challenging. Challenging in that independent on-trade is a fast paced and increasingly competitive environment requiring skilled decision making, clear strategic focus and the ability to drive forward team influencing and negotiation skills.
- Team Management and Development - Provide strong and supportive leadership and direction to direct reports
- On-Trade Channel Strategy - Executing the On Trade channel strategy
- Business Partnering - Continuously improving the relationship with customers in the on-trade channel at regional level
Commercial & Strategic Planning - Understand, communicate and drive team behaviour in line with both long and short term business and brand strategy
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level ideally within the business field and will have an established network within the On-Trade. Pivotal to this role will be a proven track record of managing and developing a high performance team. A good understanding of the independent on-trade channel, and the dynamics of the on-trade as a whole, as well as the ability to drive a premium portfolio. You will have the ability to establish and maintain an effective network within the sector at regional level and beyond. Whilst internally you will establish effective and trusted business partnerships across the B-F organisation and nurture a team culture capable of developing a team that will grow in capability, delivering first-class field execution.
