Signature Library initiatives include the establishment of the Center for Library Exploration and Research to increase campus and community impact; the Racial Justice Project to assess and counteract the legacies of historical racism in library practice; the Digital Publications Initiative pioneering new approaches to born-digital scholarship; and a revisioned special collections program that is positioning the John Hay Library as a research destination and leader in reparative and community-based collecting. We are seeking outstanding library professionals at all levels of the organization who are excited about advancing academic excellence at the highest level, and who will bring a wide array of backgrounds, experiences, and abilities to a scholarly community that is actively committed to being more diverse and inclusive.

In addition, the incumbent serves as liaison to subject librarians, external vendors, and publishers, instructs staff in the use and application of ordering tools and services, and assists with the maintenance of acquisitions related data in the Library's LSP (Library Services Platform). The position oversees the operations and processes for ordering, receiving, invoicing, licensing and assessment of curricular and research materials and the documentation of workflows from approval plan profiles, order placements, and material receipt. It also oversees the processing of invoices for payment through the University's finance system, resolves high level problems related to payment or vendor records, and coordinates the receipt and processing of incoming gifts. The position currently supervises a unit of 4 paraprofessional staff and one professional leading Collection Assessment and Licensing; and reports to the AUL for Scholarly Resources.
