Summary:

This position provides direct support to all Medical School applications to meet the ongoing needs of all operational aspects of the Medical School. This position is responsible for configuring, evaluating, implementing, managing, and supporting the use of technologies, including ongoing application assessments, implementation of additional modules and interfaces, upgrades, testing, optimization, and training. This position is responsible for developing reports and dashboards for Medical School leadership to manage all of their operations. The Senior Application Support Specialist will work closely with the Office of Information Technology on application administration.

Job Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required;

  • 2-4 years of experience supporting enterprise-level business applications;

  • Hands-on experience with support of enterprise applications;

  • Experience and knowledge of Medical School applications preferred;

  • or, equivalent combined of education and experience.

Job Competencies

  • Working knowledge of relational databases required

  • Troubleshooting skills for problem resolution required

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking preferred

  • Knowledge of IT change management processes preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills; strong commitment to customer service required

  • Strong computing, analytical, and organizational skills required

  • Project planning skills preferred

  • Ability to work effectively in a group and as a member of a project team required

  • Possesses a willingness to promote an inclusive and diverse campus community

  • Excellent coordination, collaboration, writing, and verbal communication skills required

  • This position may be required to work outside of normal business hours in support of application upgrades and day to day operations. Additionally, there will be work required outside of normal business hours during peak periods including, but not limited to the beginning of each semester and service launch dates.
