This person will be responsible for:
This person is responsible for analyzing drawings and specifications and have basic knowledge of contract terms and conditions. Must be able to assemble accurate and well-organized scope sheets, checklist, estimates, and proposals in a timely manner for General Contracting, Construction Management, Design Build, Civil and Renovations Projects. This position shall provide clear detailed quantity take offs, organize sub-contractor and vendor quotations and have the ability to negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract documents. This individual will maintain relationships with sub-contractors and have the ability to discuss options for proposed services. Reports to the VP of Preconstruction Services.
Background, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of construction and estimating experience
- Minimum of 3 years of field experience preferred.
- Significant knowledge of retail, Multi-story Wood Frame, Healthcare, Industrial construction
- Strong knowledge of standard estimating practices
- Ability to read and understand construction specifications and drawings
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity / Proficiency with the following software or internet programs

- BlueBeam
- MS Excel
- MS word
- Sage / Timberline
- Outlook
- Agtek
