 Talent Acquisition Manager

We are currently looking for someone to join our HR team in the role of Talent Acquisition Manager. This position is based out of our corporate office located in Kitchener Ontario, with remote working options also available.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Manager will provide leadership and support to the Talent Acquisition team to ensure that the sourcing and selection process is completed in an efficient manner and in accordance with the CarePartners' mission statement, established policies and procedures, relevant legislation, government guidelines, the Collective Agreement and local contract requirements

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides effective leadership and direction to Talent Acquisition Partners.
  • Manages the day- to-day performance of the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Supports the Talent Acquisition team through effective problem solving of conflicts/issues with regards to challenging recruitment cases or hard-to-fill positions.
  • Develops the most effective, economical and appropriate recruiting channels and methods.
  • Ensures that recruitment milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
  • Monitors and compiles recruitment statistical information and provides monthly statistical reports to Director and VP, Human Resources
  • Manage vendor relationships related to recruitment process, attending regular meetings;
  • Review and promote new recruitment strategies to assist with developing a talent pool;
  • Responsible for full-cycle recruiting and hiring of all corporate positions;
  • Participate in interviews with the hiring manager (as required);
  • Advising, consulting and leading the job offer proposal process, in partnership with the hiring manager;
  • Develop and maintain recruitment networks and relationships with various colleges, career centers and talent pipelines;
  • Operating in a brand ambassador capacity, represent the company at various opportunities;
  • Participate in local recruitment meetings with operations team to understand needs and develop recruitment strategies;
  • Lead recruitment steering committee and projects related to recruitment process improvements;
  • Provide operations with regular updates on recruitment initiatives, projects and challenges related to the overall recruitment/retention strategies of the organization;
  • Assess recruitment trends and identify overall key issues facing recruitment within the organization;
  • Assist in the development of tools/processes and procedures that will enhance recruitment strategies on behalf of the organization;
  • Maintain recruitment supplies, inclusive of job fair kits and advertising materials.
  • Manages grant application processes linked to recruitment. (Co-op grants, Health Force Ontario grants, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as required

    Required Qualifications

  • Related post-secondary education in Human Resources, Recruitment, Business, or Marketing preferred;
  • Five (5+) years progressive recruitment work experience preferably in the health care sector;
  • 3+ years of previous leadership/supervisory experience managing a team and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of related legislation;
  • Proven experience delivering high quality candidates in a fast-paced professional environment;
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience in a multi-unionized workplace is an asset;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Must have excellent communication, customer service and teamwork skills;
  • Must have competency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, VISIO)
  • Ability to travel throughout Ontario to attend local branches/job fairs etc.
