This position can be located at our Grand Island or Kearney locations. Summary
The IT Services Manager is assigned to and serves as a liaison between Information Technology and one or more CHI/CommonSpirit Health facilities (acute and/or ambulatory), with knowledge of leadership and management personnel, services and business strategies requiring IT involvement, issues, and the political climate at those facilities. The IT Services Manager is recognized as the IT point of contact and most knowledgable point of reference at their assigned facilities.
Incumbents are also regularly assigned and/or assume responsibility for processes, programs, and projects of the organization. These include local, divisional, and national efforts and initiatives. Based upon these assignments or assumed responsibilities, the IT Services Manager provides across-the-board first level management necessary to successfully deliver the process, program, and/or project.
Incumbents oversee day-to-day IT operational activities and functions at their assigned facilities and in support of assigned or assumed process/program/project(s). Oversight includes evaluation, development, implementation, and enforcement of operating policies, procedures and standards; determining service levels and enhancements; monitoring and input to the development of budgets; providing technical advice and matrix oversight to staff and/or vendor partners, or other departments related to the facility or area of assignment; evaluating information concerning needs; estimating and coordinating activities and associated costs; and tactical project delivery activities.
The IT Services Manager participates in, supports, and applies the established and recognized IT processes involving program and project intake, planning and governance, and any other processes in development or to be developed.
The IT Services Manager may also represent the IT Area Director and/or Divisional CIO in various meetings, functions, and teams as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of three years of relevant technical and business experience
- Minimum of one year of IT leadership experience
- Experience influencing others and building relationships in a highly matrix environment
- Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver IT projects on time and within budget
