Our team is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner interested in partnering with our Cardiology team and making a positive difference in the lives of the patients and families which we serve.

The new Franciscan Cardiology-Electrophysiology (EP) APP will serve in both the inpatient and outpatient settings of arrhythmia care. This role will have a focus on organizing, implementing and running an outpatient Atrial Fibrillation clinic on a regular basis. Emphasis will be placed on comprehensive assessment and management of atrial fibrillation, including counseling on behavioral modification, proper diet and exercise, and sleep hygiene. Advanced medical and invasive therapies including antiarrhythmic and ablation strategies will be offered, respectively. We are a high volume AF ablation center and also have a robust left atrial appendage program with active participation in various clinical trials.

This role will complement the existing EP program at St. Joseph Medical Center which includes 3 physician electrophysiologists, 2 advanced practitioners, 2 nurse navigators, 1 Watchman Coordinator, and 2 device clinic nurses. Each of our 3 EP APCs will rotate through the arrhythmia service and clinic, as well as do outpatient EP follow-up with patients. Additional duties include follow-up on device interrogation and remotes, and participating in general cardiology on-call coverage on the weekends.

Requirements:

  • Nurse Practitioner Degree
  • Successful completion of a Certified Nurse Practitioner Exam through an accredited organization
  • Licensed in the state of Washington prior to the time of employment
  • DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS
