Description

Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, serve as a frontline Customer Service Representative/Staff Assistant for Workforce Partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be thoroughly knowledgeable about all CCRI academic and vocational programs offered at the RIDOC
  • Disseminate program information by interdepartmental mail, telephone, in person, and electronically to potential and existing students in each of the six prison facilities
  • Perform data entry utilizing the electronic Student Information System such as TPCDS (Transition from Prison to Community Data System), Banner or comparable system(s)
  • Assist with coordinating Second Chance Pell events
  • Assist Enrollment Services, Financial Aid and Academic Advising with processing CCRI applications, FAFSA forms, and all graduation requirements
  • Assist with monitoring the enrollment, scheduling, and cancellation of classes as needed, and contact registered students in case of cancellation, class delays, Second Chance Pell, or scholarship issues
  • Maintain files and secure records
  • Operate copy machine, facsimile, and other office equipment as needed
  • Act in a courteous and responsive way to the requests and inquiries of CCRI and RIDOC students, staff, and administrators
  • Participate in staff development activities offered through the RIDOC and CCRI
  • Work collaboratively with others in a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Maintain accurate accountability of computers, electronic equipment, books, and office supplies
  • Assist instructors with background check, NEO training, and obtaining an ID Card
  • Proctor English and Math Placement Exams
  • Assist with building classroom rosters
  • Assist with graduation and other ceremonies
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
