A post-doc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Guarnerio at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, located at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The Guarnerio laboratory will characterizing the tumor microenvironment of leukemia and sarcoma, with a particular emphasis on mechanisms of immune-evasion orchestrated by tumor cells. To dissect cancer-specific vulnerabilities, we will combine techniques of biochemistry, molecular biology, Crispr/Cas9 and single cell RNA-sequencing technologies, together with the use of innovative mouse models. Our final goal is to identify novel therapeutic interventions for cancer, and new strategies of precision medicine. The work will be fully covered by grants from NIH-NCI, and start-up package from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Education required: PhD or MD/PhD degree in a Biology or Biomedical discipline
•Design, execute, and critically interpret experiments and present data in a cogent and compelling manner
•Present data at lab meetings, institutional seminars and international conferences
•Under the direction of the PIs, assist in drafting grant proposals, study protocols, and manuscripts
