
Description
A Laboratory Technician works closely and with the advice of a Laboratory Technologist in the performance of diagnostic procedures. Procedures are performed as efficiently and expeditiously as possible. Laboratory Technicians may exercise limited independent judgment and work under the supervision of a Laboratory Technologist, Supervisor or Director
Education:
- Associates Degree in MLS (preferred)
- Certificate training program at an approved school for Medical Technician level training leading to state licensure
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current Florida License TC - Laboratory Clinical Technician
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Previous laboratory experience preferred
