Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of JDE Cloud Engineer located in Makati City, Philippines.

JDE Could Engineer will be at the forefront to perform end-to-end administration, design, and consultation for maintaining availability and reliability of our JDE landscape.

High Level Job Description & Scope:

  • Maintain JDE instances on Cloud.  Includes the following activities:

    • ESU and global ASU installation in US and Australia instances

    • Special ASU and object synchronizations

    • Manage global replications from US to Australia instance

    • Maintenance and patching of cloud instances

    • Audit, SOX and IP control performance and monitoring

    • Object promotion and package deployments

    • Maintenance of Disaster Recovery instances and performing drills

    • Change management process

    • Manage additional integrated servers

    • Performance monitoring, alerts and notifications to maximize system performance and availability. 

  • Collaborate with the engineering and application teams to enable their applications to run on Cloud infrastructure

  • Support operations and maintenance of multi-landscape environments through coordination of work related to system upgrades, system outages, system refreshes, release and change management

  • Gather requirements working together with application architects and owners for JDE related roadmap, upgrades, decommissioning, deployment

  • Communicate JDE environment changes, advisories, availability and activities to partners and stakeholders

  • Perform root cause analysis to identify problem resolution of various production related issues


  • Familiar with JDE architecture and related JDE products as well as interfaces with other related systems and underlying database technologies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related areas required

  • Minimum of five (5) years Cloud Engineering experience is required

  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies with demonstrated hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains:

- Core IaaS: Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability

- Data Platform and Bigdata: SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Machine Learning, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory/Data Bricks

- Azure PaaS Services: Service Bus, Event Hub, IoT Suite, Mobile Apps

- Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD

  • Certification in Microsoft and/or other Cloud Technologies

  • Working knowledge in software development, engineering, programming languages and tools; Ansible, Azure Kubernetes service, NET/C#, Open Source, Python, PowerShell, and ability to work with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, ADO)

  • With experience in JDE CNC / Technical Analyst/Engineer

  • Working Knowledge of JDE Functional modules
