Job Description An IT Project Manager is responsible for driving the IT component of tactical and strategic projects at Columbia Distributing. A PM will drive a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, small scale application development, systems integration, business process optimization projects, operational efficiency improvements, business process reengineering, critical system root cause analysis, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. Responsibilities

  • Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering IT components of selected initiatives.
  • Ensures end results are of the highest quality with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.
  • Directs complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners.
  • Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures.
  • Develops project communication plans and interfaces with stakeholders to execute on responsibilities.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives. Skills

  • Work under pressure, meet deadlines, be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to work independently with little supervision Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Finance or equivalent experience. 3+ years' experience managing enterprise technology projects. 3+ years' experience with cross functional business projects delivering on key company strategic initiatives 3+ years defining business scope and aligning with company strategy and assessing/scoring solutions on this criteria 3+ year researching, vetting, and evaluating technology vendors and solutions 3+ years' experience in technical documentation i.e. process flows, use cases, solutions requirements PMI Certified desirable Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong MS office product capabilities (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint) Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a rapidly changing technical environment. Location Corporate -- Greater Portland (currently Swan island) Travel Occasional travel is required with this position. Travel can and will be conducted between greater Seattle and the Portland Metropolitan locations as needed.
