Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Full-Time

Description: As a full time nonexempt, Clinical Staff Pharmacist with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) at Methodist Hospital Northlake, you'll evaluate and interpret orders, compound, and dispense medications according to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber. You will also identify, prevent, assess and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome and promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care. This position works primarily at the Northlake campus, but may provide occasional coverage at the Southlake campus.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, on a day/evening schedule. This position will work every other weekend.

Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
- Current Pharmacist license in good standing in IN
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
- Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting preferred
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
