PHARMACY TECHNICIAN- FULL TIME 30 HOURS/WEEK

Hours:This position will work 30 hours/week, Monday through Friday 10:00am-4:00pm, no weekend or on call hours.
Description: As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
- HS Diploma or GED required
- New Jersey Registration as a Pharmacy Technician required, certification preferred
- Familiarity with brand and generic medication names
- Ability to lift 24 hour medication cassettes
- Minimum of 6 months paid experience as a Pharmacy Technician beyond the externship
- Must be comfortable interacting with patients suffering from a mental illness
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity

The facility includes a 126-bed hospital and an outpatient counseling center that serves children, adolescents and adults. Summit Oaks is licensed by the state of New Jersey and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO). Management of the pharmacy has been outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services.
