Full-Time Pharmacy Technician
Hours:This position is full time, 40 hours per week, and consists of rotating day and evening shifts including every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday).
As a full time, nonexempt, Pharmacy Technician with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services, (CPS) at Methodist Hospital Southlake, you'll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion. Based upon business needs, this position may also be scheduled to cover the overnight shift or work at the Northlake campus in Gary.
• Certified pharmacy technician with current IN Pharmacy Technician license
• Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician required (in a hospital preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
