PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – PER DIEM
Hours:This position will provide coverage as needed with no guaranteed hours. Pharmacy hours are weekdays 8am-8pm; Weekends 8am-2pm.
Description: As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician at Friends Hospital, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; running the billing; and auditing patient records. You will need to be able to lift up to 20 pounds, be on your feet for extended periods of time, and walking to deliver medications several times daily within the campus.

Friends Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy technician experience preferred in hospital or retail
- Experience working in a high volume/fast pace environment
- Microsoft office skills preferred
- Excellent customer service
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be comfortable interacting with patients suffering from a mental illness
