PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - PER DIEM

Hours : As needed during pharmacy hours which are Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm to cover staff vacations and other leaves.
Facility: River Crest Hospital is a modern 80-bed hospital that provides treatment for children, adolescents and adults with behavioral health and chemical dependency disorders. Located on 13 acres of land, the hospital offers a secluded, restful environment that enables recovery. River Crest is accredited by the Joint Commission and was recognized in 2013 by the Texas Hospital Association for 25 years of excellent service. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). This position is an employee of CPS.
Description: As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician , you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two or more years recent pharmacy technician experience, hospital experience preferred
- State of Texas License / Registration
- Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills, both verbal and written
