Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications utilizing Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. We do not compound sterile products.
Schedule: This position will work up to 16 hours per week, providing coverage "as needed". This position has no regularly scheduled hours.
About the Facility: Hospital for Behavioral Medicine, located in Worcester MA, is a 120 bed psychiatric hospital situated near the campus of the University of Massachusetts. HBM provides mental health and chemical dependency care for adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Treatment services include free initial screenings, assessment, inpatient and outpatient services, and aftercare referrals. Patients can expect a safe, caring environment with trained physicians, nurses, counselors and technicians who will provide outstanding care for individuals and families. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
- MA Pharmacy Technician License active and in good standing
- PTCB Certification required
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
