The Opportunity                           

 The Inventory Analyst is a vital contributor to the planning, analysis, forecasting, and execution of inventory and space management across all buildings for the entire Cornerstone organization. 

 Under manager supervision, the Inventory Analyst will support all functions of the Inventory, Profiling, and Liquidation departments and help develop long-range planning for space and inventory. You will consolidate inventory statistics, analyze trends and results, and prepare various internal reports and presentations; concentrating primarily in spatial data analysis.

Your Impact

  • The role has considerable scope for influencing business decisions as such; you will possess the skills and confidence to offer your opinion in the decisions making process and be able to back your opinion with facts and results.
  • Prepare monthly management report; as well as, daily, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, and end-of-year reports (Sync Audit, Forecast, Occupancy, Supervisor Incentive, Aging, Gross Adjustments, Interactive Space Model, & etc.)
  • Build and validate reports for all areas of the business, including the brands.  
  • Prepare daily, weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly reports for Profiling, Liquidations, and Utilization (5T, Pallet Utilization, Gray Bin Utilization/ Aging Case Utilization by Brand, RTV)
  • Prepare monthly reports for Finance, including maintaining weekly data trends and inputting various data (Warehouse/SKU Utilization, Occupancy Billing)
  • Conduct and verify accuracy of data for financial reporting, SOX Reporting, building reports from scratch in Excel or Access, and reporting that is distributed to the Brands on a regular cadence
  • Seek opportunities to improve existing reporting to achieve greater operational efficiencies and value-added benefit particularly as it relates to spatial utilization
  • Help analyze the effectiveness of inventory placement within the warehouse, creating charts and graphs to illustrate important trends
  • Build Inventory, Profiling, and Space ad hoc reports or queries and provide data back to the team.
  • You will have the responsibility to develop and implement statistical forecast models to increase forecasting accuracy,
  • Constantly reviewing output to identify trends and deficits in space based on inventory category and identify opportunities for enhancements.

What You Bring

  • Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer science or other quantitative discipline.
  • 2-4 years' experience in data mining, forecasting and/or equivalent experience. Strong analytical and modeling skills
  • Strong technical background
  • The ability to understand complex business questions and integrate quantitative research with business practices to inform and direct management.
  • Demonstrates expertise with analysis tools including Microsoft Access, Excel, VBA and SQL
  • Related experience in business analysis and ability to develop and publish forecasting models
  • Strong analytics skills and the ability to build complex models using various statistical tools to provide what if simulation for forecasting
  • Possesses extensive knowledge regarding data modelling and simulation
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast paced, deadline-based environment is a must
  • Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes is desired
  • Ability to be self-directed, working independently to meet deadlines and complete assignments within the departmental standard.
  • High sense of urgency, strength of conviction, and a desire to work closely as a partner with senior members of the company's management team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects for a diverse group of internal clients in a fast-paced environment, including necessary follow-through
