A Day in the Life of a Patient Access - Breezy Point Clinic Scheduling (PAS) In the role of Patient Access Specialist-Scheduling, you will be integral in managing patient schedules, ensuring accurate and timely appointments aligned with provider availability and patient needs. Your responsibilities encompass handling sensitive information with discretion, maintaining detailed electronic medical records, and verifying insurance coverage. Daily tasks involve direct communication with patients, providing exemplary customer service over the phone, and addressing any scheduling conflicts or inquiries efficiently. Collaboration with healthcare providers, staff, and external agencies is crucial to facilitate seamless care continuity and handle all clerical support functions proficiently. The position requires adaptability to various situations, the ability to multitask effectively, and maintaining composure under stress to meet the needs of both patients and healthcare team members. Education and Experience Required

Preferred

• Completion of Health Care Administrative Specialist or similar program or comparable experience in a health care facility
• High School Diploma or equivalent
