Job Description
The Sr. Manager of Application Development position is responsible for ensuring the completion of all initiatives within the Finance portfolio including large projects, business support, production support, regulatory and compliance.
Systems include SAP applications processing large volumes from various channels, mainframe legacy applications, and cloud hosted applications. This position manages a staff of 10 -15 resources (employees and consultants) including business analysts, architects and developers which includes mentoring and managing their priorities.
Managing the portfolio budget and being an integral part of the annual planning process while also providing leadership and guidance for all projects and systems and managing business relationships. This person should possess strong interpersonal and team leadership skills and the ability to communicate upward in the IS and business organizations.
Other responsibilities will include:
-Must possess strong skills in various technology disciplines and platforms (Agile, CVS agile, and Waterfall SDLC methodologies) and deep understanding of large scale system architecture (i.e. SAP) and design requirements.
- Demonstrate proven track record of leadership with experience managing large or multiple teams, including budgeting, strategic planning, technical direction, and staff coaching/mentoring.
-Oversee and take accountability for applications while providing strategy and direction for portfolio.
-Strong attention to detail while handling multiple priorities.
-Ability to manage applications hosted in the cloud.

Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in IT industry in a related role.
5+ years of experience in application development background as developer, architect or manager
5+ years of experience in leading project teams (small, medium, and large projects) effectively, meeting deliverable dates, leading a work group(s) and direct customer contact.
5+ years of experience managing Sarbanes-Oxley applications and controls and the timely completion of audit requests.

Preferred Qualifications
-Experience in SAP
- Knowledge of technologies supporting the Finance business most notably SAP applications processing large volumes of data daily.

Bachelor's degree required. Will accept 1 year of additional experience for every year of college not attained in addition to required years of experience.
