Job Description
CVS Health continues to grow and we have a new opportunity for a Category Manager Facial Care business. Category Managers are located in CVS Health's Merchandising department in our Woonsocket, RI Headquarters. They are responsible for fully managing assigned merchandise categories (Facial Care) and its respective P&L. In this role you will have full scope responsibility for attaining budgeted sales, gross margin, and building market share within their category. Overall, you are responsible for achieving the Merchandising objectives as they relate to the CVS Strategic plan.

As a Category Manager, you'll have the opportunity to deliver sales and margin goals in assigned category by attaining market share to include but not limited to: growth, sales, contribution margin, inventory turns and Gross Margin Return on inventory; managing all profit and loss information for the category. Vendor management to include: collaborating, interviewing, and negotiating extensively with manufacturers and vendors to ensure product placement and product strategy that drive sales and profitability. Developing and implementing category strategies (i.e., plan optimal SKU mix; Extracare loyalty program; weekly, seasonal, annual promotional programs) for merchandising programs from 1 to 3 years that reflect deep personal knowledge of our businesses, customers and clients. Continually sustain a strong understanding of current competition; as well as search out new competitive opportunities. Initiating and executing strategic promotional strategies and marketing plans by collaborating internally with a team of CVS professionals (e.g., Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design and Store Operations). This role will allow the opportunity to oversee a Category Specialist.

Required Qualifications
-5+ years of retail experience developing and executing category strategies, analyzing data and consumer insights
-3+ years of management experience collaborating with internal and external cross functional team members or related professional experience
-5+ years program and project management experience, with a strong working knowledge of retail math concepts and demonstrated application
-Microsoft Office skills are essential. PowerPoint and -Excel are required on a daily basis.
-Must be able to travel at least 10-15%

Preferred Qualifications
-Master's Degree in Business Administration but not required
-Corporate retail merchandise buying experience
-Experience managing a retail Profit and Loss (P&L)
-Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
-Demonstrated working experience in Marketing Strategies, vendor and product
negotiations, item and promotional pricing along with item selection
-Experience identifying, assessing and resolving complex business problems/issues/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation independently
-Tableau data visualization experience

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising
MBA is preferred
