Job Description
CVS Health, a Fortune 5 company, is hiring for a Pharmacy Technician in our Monroeville based Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy! As a Pharmacy Technician in the Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will assist in accurately reading, interpreting and entering prescriptions into the computer system, including the calculation of doses, assignment of directions and accepting proper insurance payment in a timely fashion. You will also contact doctor's offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of our patient's specialty medication orders. At times you will also be responsible for answering patient calls to coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and re-verifying benefits. Successful candidates will have superb communication skills and excellent data entry skills. The most successful Pharmacy Technicians in Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation, and problem solving abilities. Duties may also include, but not limited to, answering patient phone calls as business needs occur.

Perform Prescription Entry Technician Functions such as:
- Insurance Resolution
- Cost Exceeds Max/Plan Limitations
- Claim Amount Exceeded Issues
- Cardholder Issues
- Max Day Supply Rejections
- Submit to Other Payor Rejections
- Missing Serial Numbers
- Coverage Termed or Expired
- New Insurance Additions
- Referrals for cost increase
- Verification
- Secondary Issues
- Rejections

We offer a competitive wage which includes paid training. Training is approximately 2-3 weeks Monday through Friday from 8-4:30. After training, we are currently offering a steady 40 full time work week (multiple shifts available).

Required Qualifications
• 3+ months' experience in a pharmacy
• 6+ months' work experience with Windows-based applications
• Computer keyboarding skills and aptitude

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician
• Experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone
• Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, medical billing and coding
• Customer service experience in an office environment

Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
