Job Description
Aetna Group Retiree Solutions is seeking a Senior Analytic Consultant to lead business intelligence analytics and customer strategies focused on driving business growth. These activities require advanced technical, analytic and consultative skills to help use analytics and drive customer specific strategies, understand market landscape and assist with sales enablement initiatives.
The Senior Analytic Consultant will partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to implement data analytic solutions to business problems at an intermediate level and is responsible for presenting recommendations to senior staff and internal clients.These activities require advanced technical, analytic, and consultative skills to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to drive B2B and D2C customer sales and marketing strategies, both aggregate and targeted.

This position affords ample opportunities to work in both quantitative and qualitative worlds across an array of internal and external sources. Key position responsibilities:

• Structure data analyses to drive analytics insights and innovative solutions to complex problems
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support analytics requirements in program performance, customer strategy development, risk assessment and management as well as acquisition and retention
• Consolidate, organize, and build book of business customer reporting inclusive of self-serve visualizations, customer marketing lists and growth story analytics
• Connect and analyze data from multiple sources to strengthen and expand sales and customer insights
• Compile and report qualitative industry intelligence surrounding the macro-environment inclusive of emerging trends across government regulations, Medicare / MA / MAPD, industry verticals, product innovations, etc.
• Leverage internal and external qualitative and quantitative resources to help build customer assessments for account teams
• Report market insights to sales executives to offer guidance on sales leads as well as to uncover new sales leads
• Assist in the maintenance and data mining of customer account data in our native CRM solution
• Generate market share and persistency reporting for market and industry verticals to assist in competitive positioning

Required Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years experience in data mining, programming, and analytics
• 3 to 5 years experience utilizing SQL in large scale data lakes
• 5+ years experience in both quantitative and qualitative market / customer intelligence and research
• 3+ years experience leveraging Tableau and other visualization analytics tools to create automated self-serve solutions
• 2+ years experience with Alteryx and other tools for data flows, data process management, and data automation
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical analytic concepts, results and implications to business partners

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in health insurance and / or health care industries across varied customer business models
• Experience generating sales-specific analytics, insights and reports
• Experience with sales-specific data processes and CRM databases, especially via Salesforce
• Experience creating stories out of data for presentation to business teams, especially non-technical teams

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Master's degree preferred.
