Job Description
As a Strategic Planning Manager, Cross-Enterprise Strategic Innovation (CESI) with Aetna, you will play a leadership role accountable for the CESI performance management process, including enterprise deliverables, executive presentations, messaging and business strategic and operating plans. Furthermore, you will work across the senior leadership team and matrixed enterprise partners to lead essential strategic projects, partner across the business on investment needs, and track performance targets to achieve operating plan goals and mitigation strategies as needed. Also this role will involve independent completion of work, where judgment and discretion are required within own specialized area and general knowledge of related areas of impacts.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitate and lead the CESI management process, providing analysis, guidance and direction across leadership team
- Responsible for Executive Vice President preparation for internal and external events (Monthly Operating Reviews, Executive Leadership Team, Board, other internal / external meetings) includes the development of materials, notes and back up and follow up items
- Coordinate across the senior leadership team to successfully organize and execute on cross-functional deliverables, especially strategic planning, annual operating plans, business proposals and Ad-hoc deliverables
- Monitor and report on performance relative to plans developing mitigation plans as needed
- Address problems of a short to mid-term nature independently and addresses longer-term issues with limited supervision
- Stimulate strategic thinking in support of business direction
- Ensure consistent, efficient and cost effective processes, procedures and appropriate accountability
- Assist in preparing advocacy material
- Manage special projects as needed

Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of health insurance and/or healthcare industry experience
- 3 years or more of experience creating executive c-suite presentations using PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree desired
- Experience in project management, operations management, communications, strategy, and/or finance within health insurance and/or healthcare industry
- Experience in strategic planning or strategic execution roles with a track record of success
- Experience successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving to execution through ability to influence across a complex organization
- Demonstrated relationship management skills at peer levels within an organization and external constituents
-Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends and competitive approaches
- Experience with mid-sized cross-functional initiatives, with a moderate to high degree of complexity
- Demonstrated experience developing analysis, presentations and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives

Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience is required
